When a referral partner connected us with the owner of a Roscoe Village home, the situation involved far more than simply preparing a property for sale.

The client had relocated to New York, and after the passing of their partner, understandably did not want to return to Chicago to manage the emotional and logistical complexities of the home sale. They needed a team they could trust to handle every detail with care, discretion, and sensitivity.

From the beginning, our focus was on easing the burden and creating a clear, supportive process during a difficult time.

Working closely with the client and family members, our team coordinated every step of the transition. Through our in-house concierge, we managed the packing and shipment of personal belongings to multiple locations across the country, while also coordinating donations and thoughtfully preparing the home for the next chapter.

Throughout the process, communication and sensitivity were essential. Every decision required both practical coordination and emotional understanding.

Once the home was fully prepared, we partnered with our staging and vendor teams to position the property strategically for the market while still honoring the character of the home itself.
