Welcome to Busby Group, Percy!

We are so excited to welcome our new Weekend Concierge to Busby Group — someone we have known and respected for nearly a decade.

We first met when he was the office administrator at Compass Bucktown, where he quickly became a favorite among our team and clients alike. He was known for always going the extra mile — and doing so with a genuine smile. No detail was too small, no request too much. His consistency, warmth, and professionalism left a lasting impression.

Since then, he has worked alongside several top-producing teams, further refining his expertise in client services, logistics, and high-level real estate operations. His experience, combined with his natural ability to anticipate needs and create ease in every interaction, makes him an incredible addition to our client experience team.

We feel truly fortunate to have him helping lead and support client services at Busby Group, especially on weekends when thoughtful coordination and responsiveness matter most.

We sat down with Percy to learn more about his journey and what excites him most about this next chapter.

Q&A with Percy

What drew you to the Busby Group?
What drew me to the Busby Group first and foremost was the culture that has always been cultivated on the team. I’m a firm believer that you should enjoy the people that you work with, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a collaborative and people-oriented team. Also, throughout my time at Compass, the Busby Group has always held a standard of excellence that can’t be matched, and I believe that is what continues to separate us from the rest of the pack.

What are you most excited about in the coming year?
This year I’m getting married! Additionally, I’m looking forward to cultivating more community, crushing my personal goals, and pouring into myself and those around me.

Which part of your real estate career do you love the most?
In some cases, the process of buying or selling a home can feel like a transactional experience. Knowing that, what excites me the most is being able to take a process that can just feel transactional and turn it into a memorable experience that is centered around a people-first type of mindset that leaves our clients feeling seen, empowered, and excited in their decision to either buy or sell.

What is your favorite Chicago neighborhood and why?
My favorite Chicago neighborhood is Bucktown, end of discussion. It’s where I’ve called home the longest in the city, and there’s a pulse to the neighborhood that leaves you feeling part of something entirely separate from the rest of town. There are lots of local neighborhood businesses to support, and the food is top-tier.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, doing CrossFit, traveling, keeping my 3 pups busy, and spending time with my family and friends. Additionally, we love Lake Michigan and spend a lot of time in Saugatuck each summer, which is one of our favorite places to be and is special to my family.
